From Uncertainty to Empowerment: The CDL Program
Imagine leaving everything behind—your home, your possessions, your sense of security—and arriving in an unfamiliar country with nothing but hope and the will to survive. This was the reality for four refugees who found themselves grappling with the challenges of starting over. Through Gii’s mentorship and CDL program, they were not only given guidance, but a vision for a brighter future. After securing steady employment, these four individuals pooled their resources to purchase an 18-wheeler truck. What might seem like an ordinary vehicle became a powerful symbol of their determination to succeed. The truck enabled them to establish a fractional ownership business model that provided sustainable income for their families. It wasn’t just a livelihood—it was a chance to take control of their futures. When one of the partners faced an unimaginable crisis—his wife’s need for urgent and costly medical treatment—the income from this business became a lifeline. What could have been a devastating situation was met with stability and resilience, thanks to their shared effort and Gii’s support. This is what Gii does—it doesn’t just offer help; it creates pathways for independence, dignity, and hope. By empowering refugees to take bold steps, Gii ensures they not only survive but thrive.
