Capstone Project, which will require research, problem analysis, collaboration, and marketing
Over the past several decades, extensive research has been conducted into the preparation of students for the real world. These studies examined both high school graduates and college graduates, who enter the workforce. The bulk of these studies have concluded that students are not provided the skill sets necessary to thrive in a professional environment.¹ While this problem exists throughout our society, it is far more prevalent in rural and socioeconomically disadvantaged communities, where school systems continue to struggle with significantly reduced resources.
