Internship Description:
The Global Impact Initiative (Gii), a nonprofit headquartered in Austin, Texas, seeks a motivated and passionate Texas-based college student to join our team as a REFUGEE CASE MANAGEMENT INTERN. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in case management. This is an unpaid internship role with our agency.
Responsibilities:
Greet and welcome clients to the Gii office.
Assist with client scheduling.
Support the planning and execution of client intakes and training.
Help maintain client files and case notes.
Participate in team meetings and provide input on client strategies and initiatives.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure cohesive and effective fundraising efforts.
Other duties that may be required.
Represent Gii’s core values and mission in the office, with clients, and throughout the community.
Education and Experience Requirements:
Must be a current college student in Human Services, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field.
Strong interest in nonprofit work and case management.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Must be bilingual in Spanish and English.
Proficiency in Microsoft and Google Office applications.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
