Job Description

We are currently seeking a Full-time ELI Instructor/Coordinator with a minimum of one year of experience teaching vulnerable communities, beginner, and low-literacy students. This position entails providing two classes a day (day & evening classes), Monday through Friday. Classes are available for both in-person and remote attendance.

Responsibilities

  • Teach two classes a day, accommodating both day and evening schedules. (With occasional after hours classes).

  • Provide engaging and interactive lessons tailored to beginner and low-literacy students.

  • Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment for young mothers and refugees from diverse cultural backgrounds.

  • Demonstrate cultural sensitivity and openness to working with diverse groups.

  • Create an 80-hour Curriculum using Mainstream English Language Training (MELT).

  • Other duties that may be required.

  • Represent Gii’s core values and mission in the office, with clients, and throughout the community.

Location & Commitments

  • Permanent full time role with a hybrid schedule.

  • Day and evening class schedule.

  • Occasional after hours may be required outside of standard hours.
